Kinnow is a Citrus fruit variety Mandarin majorly grown in the province of Punjab. Kinnow cultivars are grown in varying quantities in countries with tropical or sub tropical climate. Kinnow stands first in area and production among the worlds tree fruits. In India Kinnow fruit is the most important fruit crops grown on the area of 160,000 hectares with production of 1.5 MMT annually.

Kinnow season starts in November and ends in March, a longer picking season than any other citrus variety. The Cashew tree (Anacardium Occidentale), is a tropical evergreen native to the Americas but is now widely cultivated in Asia and Africa . It is a short, stocky, low-spreading, evergreen tropical tree. Four centuries ago, the adventurous Portuguese came sailing down the Indian coasts and brought with them this valuable treenut "Cashew", the Favourite nut of the world. Cashew came, conquered and took deep roots in the entire coastal region of India . Cashew found the Indian soil more homely than its homeland. Later it spread as a popular crop to other parts of India .

Seed is found in the lower portion of the cashew apple . Cashew in its natural form is a soft, white, meaty kernel covered by a testa membrane contained within the thick hard outer shells of kidney shaped seeds which protects the tasty kernel from the ravages of nature until it is processed.

Inara is one of the biggest wholesale walnut suppliers, incepted in India. The walnut belongs to the small order of trees and shrubs known as Juglandeae. Natural walnut trees are very large, ranging from 50 to 75 feet in height and width. Kashmir revels in reputation in that it is the only region in India where the walnut tree grows. The natural sheen, color and grains are indeed exceptional and unique. The carving and fret- work done on this wood is of a delight. Generally two types of walnut trees are found in Jammu and Kashmir- one that bears fruit and is noted for its wood, and another which is not fruit-bearing. The latter is known as 'zangul' in local parlance and is less strong and possesses no grains.

Most coniferous forests of the Eastern and Western Himalayas, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, hilly regions of north and south, the Eastern hills, Uttar Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh are most suitable for the growth of brown walnut. Total area under walnut is 67053 hectares with annual production over 71758 metric tons. Given the high tariffs and strong domestic production, there are few opportunities for imports. India's 2012/13 walnut production is forecast at 28,000 tons. Exports are expected to be around 14,000 tons. The current year (2012/13) export estimate has been raised 11 percent to 15,500 tons, based on strong demand from the EU and the United States (due to a smaller crop). Major export destinations during the Indian fiscal years 2012 and 2013 were Spain, Egypt, Germany, Netherlands, U.K., Greece, Italy, and the United States. There are no restrictions on walnut exports and no government export subsidies.
